The Sovereign's (David Bowie's) Quarters. A new location I did for season 4 of the Venture Brothers. I'm once again supervising the backgrounds this season. Nice to be back with same team as last season: Ray Feldman, Denny Fincke, and Chris Palesty...The Fun has already begun.

One of my last backgrounds for Superjail. This is truely an awesome show. I can't wait to see these episodes air. I believe Cartoon Network will start showing Superjail in mid October on Adult Swim.

This is SUPERJAIL! It's a new Adult Swim show I've been working on. These are my designs with the exception of the characters in the candyland scene, which were done by Neil Swaab. It's a whole lot of fun. Christy Karakas is the creator and its being produced at Augenblick Studios with Aaron Augenblick. I worked with both Chisty and Aaron back in the day on Daria at MTV. Those guys are amazing and have assembled a beautiful team of talented artists. Its so kick ass, it makes you want to cry.

Good Night Venture Brothers

I thought I'd put this design up that I did for the Venture Brothers as we wind down the production of the 3rd season. What a beautiful night painting by Liz Artinian. I really like this season and can't wait to see the shows air.

Here's something I worked on while I was in LA back in 2002. I did the 3D modeling for a development job at Titmouse--the studio that brought us Metalocalypse. The designs were done traditionally by the brilliant Chris Prynoski. It was my job to translate his 2D characters into 3D. A really fun experience.

Sweet Anarchy

This is an illustration I did for the English rock legend Roy Harper (as in "Hats Off to Roy Harper" on Led Zeppelin III) a few years ago. Roy has been a friend since late 1996 and I've been making pictures for him from time to time since then. He is a true gentleman and a genius songwriter in my opinion. Knowing and working creatively with my biggest hero on the planet has been super awesome. Check out his site in my friends section. His MySpace page is cool too at http://www.myspace.com/harperroy

Some Old BG Designs

The first background is one I did for Disney's 101 Dalmations tv series..a moonlit swamp. The next one is a futuristic tea shop for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fast Forward (the design is mine but not the color). The last is Cody's living room from Ninja Turtles - Fast Forward.

Good Morning Venture Brothers

Hey look mom, I'm blogging! Weeeeehooo! So begins my blog with this still from my animated music video for the English band The Real Tuesday Weld.

I'm super-psyched about my new job. I've been hired as Background Supervisor for Season 3 of The Venture Brothers on Adult Swim / Cartoon Network. I've already begun working with creator/writer/artist/voice actor--Jackson Publick, Storyboard/Character/Prop Design Supervisor--Stephen DeStefano, Color Supervisor--Liz Artinian and Producer--Rachel Simon all of which are awesome. Pre-Production begins next week. I've got a kick-ass crew (Ray Feldman, Denny Fincke, Chris Palesty) and we're ready to make some sweet new Venture Brothers backgrounds.
